Master in counSeling
Starting 2011, within UDG was started the Master’s program in spiritual counseling in collaboration with Hershey community (USA) and the center of Psychological counseling “Voshojdenie” from Kiev, Ukraine.
Through this project, pastors and other interested people are given the possibility of studying the field of counseling. The professors which are involved in this program have PhDs in psychology, clinical and spiritual counseling, they are an active part in university programs of more universities from USA and abroad. The program consists from 19 courses (16 specialty courses and 3 theological). Each course has 3 credits including the practical application of the knowledge obtained at the courses. The courses last 3 years and it includes sessions where the student spends time as a counselor with clients. Potential applicants are required to have a bachelor either in theology, social assistance and psychology.
Student who complete the Master of Divinity will:
- Design, Develop, and Implement a disciple-making church ministry
- Practice Biblical and theological study focusing on the use of Biblical Languages and English
- Engage in Pastoral Care within the context of the church
- Construct and Deliver biblical and theological sermons and lessons appropriate to a church context
