Social WOrk
Serving the Vulnerable. Changing Communities. Grounded in Scripture.
Social work at its best is not just a profession — it is a calling.
At UDG, we don’t separate academic excellence from compassionate service. Our students graduate knowing how to navigate complex social systems, counsel families in crisis, and advocate for the marginalized — all from a foundation of biblical integrity.

About this Programme
The Bachelor of Social Work at Divitia Gratiae University equips students to serve vulnerable individuals and communities with professional competence and Christ-like compassion. Graduates are prepared for careers in social services, NGOs, government agencies, and faith-based organisations — as practitioners, counsellors, advocates, researchers, and managers.
All UDG bachelor students share a common first year of biblical and spiritual formation — regardless the program they are pursuing. This unified Year 1 brings students from all tracks together for a year of deep engagement with Scripture, spiritual formation, and academic methodology.
Social Work specialisation begins in Year 2, ensuring that every graduate’s professional competence is built on a strong theological and moral foundation.
The programme’s most distinctive feature is its five-placement practicum structure — 22 ECTS of supervised field experience. Students work in social service centres, hospitals, churches, NGOs, and rehabilitation institutions from Year 2 onward, gaining 56 weeks of hands-on practice before graduation.
